Service Description

Nature Journaling Nature journaling is the practice of drawing and writing outside, in response to the natural world. This fun, relaxing practice calms your mind and increases your appreciation of beauty. It improves your recognition of different animal and plant species, and your understanding of how they live. No artistic skill is required! Non-artists and naturalists are especially welcome. Each week will have a different focus and prompts, with the two instructors providing feedback, suggestions and encouragement out in the field. Putting your focus on the natural world can help break creative blocks, as well as give you ideas for new projects. We recommend that you use a journal solely dedicated to nature journaling. You can use whatever materials you like; colored pencils, crayons, markers, watercolor etc. A recommended supply list will be sent, but it’s really up to you to choose! This class with meet at various locations, on Saturdays from 10am-12pm, June 1 to July 6 (six weeks). Rain dates are July 13 and July 20. Instructors: Linn Lisher and Taryn Day Fee: $50
