Service Description
Painting Roses in Oils For All Skill Levels; basic understanding of oil painting recommended, Ages 16–Adult • Instructor: Cassaundra Flor In this 3.5-hour workshop, you will learn how to approach painting roses in oil, focusing on creating the soft, dimensional forms that make flowers come to life. We will explore building the form of the flower, developing light and shadow, adding detail, and making thoughtful color choices. The workshop will begin with a 45-minute demonstration, where I will walk you through my approach to painting a rose step-by-step. The remainder of the workshop will be dedicated to your own painting, with plenty of time to work at your own pace. I will move around the room throughout the workshop to offer individual guidance, feedback, and suggestions as you develop your painting. A basic understanding of oil painting is recommended. Instructor will provide canvas board painting surface. You will be responsible for bringing your paints, brushes, solvent, palette knives, paper towels, and palette. Please bring listed supplies to the workshop. STUDENT SUPPLY LIST: (list will be emailed upon registration) Instructor recommends palette of Cadmium red, Burnt sienna, ivory black, yellow ochre, cadmium yellow, Viridian green, olive green, ultramarine blue, titanium white, raw umber and alizarin crimson. Bring your choice of brushes Solvent Palette knives Paper towels Palette WORKSHOP LIMIT: 12
