Service Description
Floral Monotype Workshop For Beginners to Advanced, Ages 16–Adult • Instructor: Cassaundra Flor In this 3.5-hour workshop, we’ll explore the expressive and spontaneous process of monotype printmaking while creating a unique floral composition. Working from a floral arrangement, paint directly onto plexiglass plates using printing inks, thoughtfully building layers of color, shape, and mark-making. Then, transfer painted plates onto vibrant colored paper, revealing a luminous, one-of-a-kind monotype print. Monotype is a process that embraces experimentation and happy surprises—each print is unique and cannot be exactly replicated. No previous printmaking experience is necessary. Step-by-step instruction will guide you through the process, making this a wonderful opportunity for beginners and experienced artists alike to explore floral imagery through color, texture, and spontaneous mark-making. All materials provided except paint brushes (oil paint brush sets are fine just be sure to have a flat headed brush, a filbert or oval shaped brush, and a thin brush for details). WORKSHOP LIMIT: 12
