Service Description

Portrait photograph by Donna Longacre Learn to use your camera and how to light, pose and photograph people. Over the course of four weeks students will view famous classic portraits, discussing their merits and how they were created, and in each class take their own artistic portraits. Learn how to find and use proper natural lighting situations, then how to use common household lighting and finally how to use professional strobe equipment to take beautiful portraits of people. Students are expected to have their own cameras. Any digital camera capable of using manual settings for ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture is acceptable. The instructor is available to discuss this by phone or email prior to the first day of class. There is a supply fee of $15 payable at the first class. This will include the use of strobes and other lighting equipment and backdrops. Robert Quezada was a lighting director, director of photography, and producer in Hollywood on more than 40 theatrical motion pictures over the course of 20 years. He brought this experience with lighting and camerawork to still photography, which he has done professionally for 20 years. He currently works as a portrait, documentary, and architectural photographer for both profit and non-profit organizations. Class Fee: $150 Supply Fee: $15
